The Power of Tyranny series

I have been working off and on over the years to create a group of 6 sculptures that together show the struggle of humanity against those that try over the generations to control and use people for their own ends, denying freedom and literally building a world of power on the backs of the subjects under their control. The sculptures depict people in different situations, some coddled others in rebellion all suffering the indignity of being used for the rulers ends be they ideologues or religious extremists or corrupt leaders of any stripe. This work is ongoing and I will add to the group as I finish more individual sculptures. There will be 6 sculptures in a circle with a dome above them with columns that turn into the tentacles of an octopus that do not reach the ground and are supported on the people that are under its control.

I have been selling them to the public as individual sculptures which may be collected until the series is complete. with the center part which is missing now.
